Alluvial gold.
This is a small terrace above the western banks of the Upper Shotover River, diagonally opposite Strohles Flat, 10 kilometres north of Skippers. Located on the opposite side of the river from The Branches pastoral station access road, it is not accessible. A 4 kilometre long water race heads south from Maori Creek to the site. The only information found was J.E. Davis working the claim in 1904.
