Ordinary chondrite, type H4.

A brilliant fireball was observed on February 12, 2000, at 23:30 local time, but no meteorites were immediately recovered. On February 26, Matteo Chinellato found nine crusted stones (masses between 2.5 and 6.9 g) within a few meters of each other, but the amount of weathering seen casts doubt on whether these fell only two weeks before. A 10.7 g stone was found at a later date, bringing the total mass to 51.3 g. A 6.9 g sample is on deposit at Vatican Observatory Meteorite collection, Castelgandolfo (Rome); other samples are preserved at: Marleen De Ceukelaire Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences, Brussels, Belgium (5.5 g); Mineralogisch-Petrographisches Institut, Universität Freiburg, Freiburg, Germany (2.9 g); Bologna University.

Forsterite (Fa18.0–18.6) and enstatite (Fs16.6–17.1Wo0.5–1.2) are the main mineral components.
