At the Keuper levels (Triassic age) in the area, there are samples of aragonite and authigenic quartz, as in whitish colors as in the reddish "Jacintos de Compostela". They are found in the clay layers, associated with gypsum levels sometimes with beautiful reddish colorations. A well-accessible place is located at the base of the hill called Alto de Solanillos, in El Estrecho site.
En los afloramientos de Keuper (edad triásica) de la zona, se pueden recoger muestras de aragonito y cuarzo autigénico, tanto en colores blanquecinos como en tonos rojizos típicos de los "Jacintos de Compostela". Se encuentran en las capas de arcilla asociadas a niveles de yeso, a veces con hermosas coloraciones rojizas. Un lugar bien accesible se encuentra en la base de la colina llamada Alto de Solanillos, en el sitio denominado El Estrecho.
