Located about 35 kilometres south of Ravensthorpe. The deposit is near the east bank of the Hamersley River, where it turns from north to west. A boggy track leaves an internal Fitzgerald River National Park Road from Culhams Inlet, heading south-west to the river. A small cleared area can be seen 100 metres east of the track, but surrounded by very thick scrub, and would be difficult to locate. It is at the northern end of a series of historic manganese tenements. Discovered 1913.
Opened by a 11.6 metre deep shaft, cross-cut and several costeans. Hosted by micaeous schist, psammite, containing lenses and nodules of azurite, and veinlets of malachite and atacamite. The deposit also contains small limonite-cuprite-malachite-quartz veins. In 1915, 2.06 tonnes of copper ore was mined at 13.58% Cu.
