A former lode Au mine located in sec. 32, T3N, R15E, MDM, 2.4 km (7,900 feet) S of American Camp Station site, along Fivemile Creek near its confluence with the South Fork Stanislaus River (almost 4 miles NE of Columbia), on private land in a National Forest area. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in limestone. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
