A chromium mine located 3 miles West of Owings Mills. Workings featured a vertical shaft and an inclined shaft. The deposit was first worked before 1839. The ore consisted of chromite disseminated in serpentinite. The last ore was removed in 1918. The main entrance can still be seen at Soldier's Delight Natural Environment Area.
