Köppen climate type:
Pian dei Resinelli is a touristic locality very well known in the surroundings of the town of Lecco. The physiography of the plain (Pian), hanging in the middle of the mountains, is related to its geological peculiarities. A Thrust Fault leading the calcareous masses of Mount Grignetta (Anisian-Ladinian in age) is passing by, over the soft terrigenous sediments of the Upper Carnian (Val Sabbia sandstones & San Giovanni Bianco Formation). It is a classical site for Southern Alp geology. Stratabound Pb-Zn mineralizations hosted into Lower Carnian dirty limestones are widespread in the nearby.
