A REE-pegmatite occurrence/mine located 1.85 miles N88E of the Baringer Hill Mine and 10.5 miles N80W of Burnet (town), on private property. This mine is now inundated beneath Buchanan Lake (reservoir). An inactive and little-developed past producer.
Mineralization is a REE deposit hosted in pegmatite. Associated rocks include Mesoproterozoic granite.
Regional geologic features include the Llano Uplift.
Workings include surface openings comprised of shallow trenches.
Production was a few tons of pegmatite mined before 1909.
