The site contains a scattered collection of shaft groups, small pits and trenches, just south to south-east of the indistinct access track.
Small gold area, 60 kilometres east of Marble Bar, 10 kilometres west of the Nullagine River crossing on the Rippon Hills Road, and about 5 kilometres north of the road, at a location on maps called Bullgarina Hill.
Access appears to be a bulldozed track of unknown quality, but likely poor, to a north-south one kilometre long bulldozed alluvial area about one kilometre north of the road. The track then turns east for about 5 kilometres to a small collection of historic workings.
The area was active in the 1930's, and mapped 1939 by K.J. Finucane.
There are also several small exploration pits between one to five kilometres north of the Rippon Hills Road between Mooyella and the Nullagine River crossing.
A brief report was prepared on the area - The Black Douglas Prospect - by Nullabor Prospecting in 1991.
