Described as on the western bank of the Yandicoogina Creek, 1.5 miles south-west of the Uncle Tom mine. GML 557 and 561. The one foot thick reef dips south by 30 degrees of grey glassy quartz, and 120 feet to the south is a parallel reef of thin laminated jasper veins. Three shafts had been sunk, the main to 39 feet deep.

The mine produced 13.40 tonnes of ore for 701 ounces of gold. The high ounce to ore ratio is due to one very rich patch of specimen stone discovered. In March 1899, 4 tonnes of ore was crushed for 480 ounces, the richest crushing for a Pilbara gold mine to that point. The original pegger P. Hennessey, as well as R. O'Brien, H. Vermont Wilson, and J.L. Oborn were the lucky owners of the mine. The gold was melted to 4 gold bars, placed on display in McDonald Fisher and Co's store in Marble Bar, drawing a large crowd. The gold had come from the 30 foot level, most showing more gold than quartz, with one piece virtually solid gold.

The next day they left by coach to Roebourne, and it is assumed boat to Perth to spend their winnings.
