GML 148. According to the source, the lease was adjacent to the west rather than south of the Star of the North mine. Originally held by the Shaw River Mining Company. A shaft was sunk 25 feet, on a small irregular reef, trending east-west and dipping north. 10 tonnes of ore was reported crushed from the mine. It is briefly reported in 1895 as active, then later in the year a break in the reef had caused issues.
