The mine is 200 metres south-east of the Rydal Street Reserve, bordering the deviation road. The shaft has collapsed, and all that is left is a modern surrounding fence. Historically described as adjacent to the Kalgoorlie-Kanowna railway line.

The mine was worked spasmodically by various parties from the late 1890's to 1911, sinking a shaft to a depth of 200 feet, much of the ore obtained from the 100 foot level. There had been little systematic development however. GML 4293E.

In 1908, under the Milanese name, David Dewar unsuccessfully sought forfeiture of the lease for breach of labour conditions. The mine is owned by Joseph Saligari and party, the mine under option from October 1907 to William Hocking on behalf of Adelaide investors.

The Golden Dream Company took over the lease in March 1911. About twenty-one men were employed, and a Huntingdon mill erected on the large low grade lode. The company also worked the Napoleon lease but found it unpayable. William Wilson was appointed mine manager.

William Craine died underground from a fall of earth late July 1911.

The lease contained six shafts on a large low grade lode. The formation contained whitish kaolin clay, and some sericite, with mineralised quartz veins in vughs in ironstone near the east wall.

Initially dividends were issued, and the mine appeared successful. As time went on the low grades took a toll on profits, and by 1915 the company was on the verge of liquidation. The lease was forfeited in this year to Michael Devitt, due to the lease not being worked.

In 1924, an attempt was made to float a company called the South Boulder Syndicate to take an option over the Golden Dream, but the attempt garnered little investor support. A. Woodhams and J. Williamson, owned the mine, and several small crushings come from this period.

The lease, now 5510E, is mentioned in 1939, as owned amongst several in the area by Abbott and Heppingstone (surnames).
