The Janet Ivy Gold Mine is 10 kilometres west of Kalgoorlie, and just north of the Trans Australian Railway Line. The Fort Scott and Fort William open pits are just south of the mine. At the time of writing operated by Norton Goldfields, with ore transported to their Paddington processing plant just south of Broad Arrow.
The deposit is in a broad strike extensive zone of mineralisation, contained within a felsic porphyry intrusive. Mineralisation is controlled by a vein stockwork zone, individual fault controlled veins, and pervasive wallrock alteration of porphyry.
Mineralisation occurs along a 1.3 kilometres strike, 130 to 150 metres below the surface. Indicated and Inferred Resources are 13.6 Mt at 0.89 g/t yielding 389 000 ounces of gold.
