The Bellevue Gold Mine is one kilometre east of the Jubilee processing plant. The pit has now been refilled with tailings. It was developed in recent decades as a satellite operation to the Hampton-Boulder-Jubilee mine.
The London based Bellevue Proprietary Company developed underground mining here from around 1903 to 1907, when it abandoned the lease as unprofitable.
P. Maskiell pegged out three leases of 12 acres each in 1919, renaming the mine Dove. He found a new lode near the old workings, 10 feet wide, and only 6 feet below the surface the following year.
