This location needs confirmation. Maps list it as the Pauline Gold Mine. It is difficult to locate. Take the third track west from the Bulong-Curtin Road and Trans Australian Railway Line Road intersection. This track heads due south for about 5 kilometres when an east-west cross track is reached. The small Black Hill alluvial area is 1 kilometre west, and the Pauline alluvial area, 1 kilometre east.
Bulldozer scrapings, trenches, and outlying historic shafts are found on a north-south trend for several hundred metres. A shed, machinery, and lease plans all indicate it could be an active prospector's lease.
While maps list this as the Pauline Gold Mine, Silver Lake Resources further south also list a Pauline Gold prospect south-east of the Mount Monger pastoral station homestead.
No modern information was found which is common for prospector leases. It is un-certain which of the deposits the following limited historic information relates to.
Colley and sons are noted as owning the lease in 1941, but sell it only a month later. From November 1947, Holman and Mills (surnames) work the lease, and by 1950 have obtained 298 tonnes worth 4 600 pounds.
