The Bank of Ireland Gold Mine is 1 kilometre south of the Bulong Road, at the southern end of the goldfield. There are many exploration tracks in the area, but no definitive track to the workings itself, which are a small collection of collapsed shafts and small pits.
The mine was owned by P. Ryan and party in 1896. The main shaft was down to 150 feet, with at least two other shafts on the lease. The following year the Bank of Ireland Gold Mining Company was operating the mine, but no further information was found.
The lode was kaolin, 14 feet wide, as part of the north-south Paris Reef. There was also a small lode running east-west.
John Know and party applied for the lease in 1901. A prospector called Ziegler obtained some gold studded ironstone specimens from the old workings in 1912.
