As the name suggests this mine was just north of the Anglo Saxon Mine.
The mine was owned by Christiansen (spelt variously in the sources) and Benney (surnames). The main shaft was down to 100 feet. They took State Mining Engineer, Montgomery, to task over some of the comments he made about the field. In particular his assertion the goldfield was an extension of the Edjudina Goldfield. The prospectors pointed out the type of reefs at Pinjin were totally different than the kidney style at Edjudina, and Pinjin was too far to the east. They were correct.
Montgomery had stated the reef at the bottom of the shaft at Anglo Saxon North was poor, broken, and the veins small. GML 738R. He goes on to state there are eight lines of quartz veins, all very small. Three shafts had been sunk, two of these to 100 feet, connected with a crosscut at the bottom.
Mining had initially been undertaken on a big formation at the surface consisting of kaolinised schist and quartz stringers, with a pit 20 feet long by 15 feet down to 12 feet wide. This averaged 8 dwt.
