The Filbandit Gold Mine is a historic lease, now occupied by the Darlot open pit.
Both Filbandit and Trindad were used at the same time for the location. The Filbandint spelling is also used in the sources, but probably has more to do with journalist uncertainty over strange names in far away lands. The Trinidad brothers began opening up the deposit mid 1902.
The Zangbar mine adjoined it to the north. Crushings were found from 1903, but by 1906, the brothers sold the lease for 1600 pounds. It was then amalgamated with the Zangbar adjoining it to the north, and ore carted to its mill.
