Charles Dixon and J. Dickie are noted at the lease in 1899, prospecting for a deep lead.
Buckland and Davenport (surnames) took up this lease in 1902, which had been abandoned since the time of the previous owners. They crushed only 7 tonnes of ore for an incredible 1370 ounces of gold. It is thought to be a small rich leader, as nothing was then found after that.
The extent of the workings would indicate the mine was more active than what was found above. However the state of the workings would also indicate it has not been worked for many decades. It forms a large north-south trending trench, over-grown and partly collapsed.
It borders the east side of the track, with what appears to be a small building, maybe a prospector's shed on the west side of the track.
To reach,take the track immediately after Bummers Creek on the Leonora-Laverton Road. The track crosses the normally dry creek, after which a fork is met. The left fork goes to the Webster's Find Mine, while the right fork wanders generally north for a kilometre or two, until the Prince of Wales Mine.
