The Victor Gold Mine is about 10 kilometres north of Leonora, and 500 metres west of the Goldfields Highway, about 1 kilometre past the turn off to the Old Agnew Road. There are four groups of historic shafts, and minor modern exploration trenches. The northern group is near a homestead, and should be avoided.
Information was found from 1906 to 1914, but prospectors may have operated before and after but was not reported. Ingall and party are noted as owners in 1907, but after this it was A. Hull and Hepple.
In 1914, they struck a rich patch, the gold being exhibited in the Cogan brothers shop window in Leonora, where it drew a crowd. It is said 75% of the rock was solid gold.
An examination of a small shallow modern pit 3-4 metres deep and 25 metres long, showed gold hosted in a quartz vein in a north-south trending dextral shear zone, with cross-cuts of regional east-west trending basalt and porphyry. Gold was deposited during the dextral shearing, related to north-east to south-west regional contraction.
