Alluvial gold at Wiluna was found in a few isolated patches only. In 1895, it was reported that a Bob Martin found a 600 oz rock containing over 400 oz of gold. At the time it was the largest nugget found in the State. It led to a rush, and several other slugs were found in the area.
The alluvial patch is said to have existed on or near where the present power plant is for the Wiluna Gold Mine, south-east of the town.
Co-ordinates are estimated only.
