North-west of Wiluna are several isolated groups of shafts and trenches, hidden in the scrub, and accessed by little used tracks. One is called Capelli's Find, 10 kilometres west north-west of Wiluna, and two kilometres north of the Meekatharra-Wiluna Road, near the base of the Finlayson Range.
The outcrop was discovered by woodcutter, Joe Capelli, mid 1927. The General Manager of the Wiluna Gold Mines, acted as local representative for a syndicate called the Adelaide Company which took up Capelli's Reward lease and several others nearby.
The outcrop was a lode containing high grade but narrow quartz veins. By the end of 1927 the site had been abandoned.
