The anortosite rock is altered to kaolinite along the hanging wall of a porphyric diabase vein, and kaolinite has been produced from a 20x5x3m pit, as well as three other, smaller workings nearby. The occurrence is interpreted as a hydrothermal alteration of the anorthosite near the diabase veins. The kaolinite was of poor quality ( containing a larte portion of feldspar grains). There are no kaolinite left at the locality today.
