The lease in the 1890's, was on the south side of the Cumberland Company's leases, about 10 kilometres south of Norseman.
The lease was on two or more parallel reefs with the Kirkpatrick Reef. The lease started out as the Three States GML 220, forfeited March 1897. It was subsequently the Recoupe GML 681, and two small crushings are recorded. The lease was surrendered in April 1904, only to become the Recovery GML 1913, with one further small crushing in 1904.
To the east was the Hope mine GML 252, with three shafts at 30, 39 and 40 feet deep on a reef 20 inches wide. No crushings are recorded. Further east again is the Aubabia mine GML 357, with two shafts at 40 and 41 feet deep. Again no crushings are recorded.
