Located about 15 kilometres south south-east of the Higginsville processing plant, and directly east of the Challenge Swordsman gold mine. At this location a broad peninsular juts into the Lake Cowan salt pan. The field is located in the central and western parts of the peninsular. Not much remains other than abandoned shafts and small mullock heaps hidden at various locations in the scrub. The track into the area will come to some battery sands, thought to be the location of the Hidden Secret North Mine, the only mine to have a battery on the field.

Mining began in 1906, and was finished largely by 1910. Apart from a few prospectors in the 1930's, nothing has happened on the field, other than some modern exploration drilling. Its best described as a prospecting field.

Several small mines are south of the access track. On the track the first mine that one comes upon is the Brilliant. 24 acres. Owned by Milesi, Davey, Breerton, Williams, and Kennedy (surnames). It was one of the first mines developed on the field. It contained 3 shafts on a north-south striking lode, dipping vertically. The south shaft was 90 feet deep, north shaft 70 feet, and main or central shaft 75 feet to the water level. It was 600 feet distance between the north and south shafts. By 1909 804 tonnes of ore had been crushed.

Adjoining to the south was Brilliant South owned by J. Kennedy and McCarthy with a shaft 70 feet deep, with the lode badly faulted in the upper levels but better at depth.

Adjoining north of the Brilliant was the Meanee lease owned by Turner and Murray (surnames), which was originally a prospecting lease owned by Kennedy and McCarthy. By 1909 they had crushed 22 tonnes at 28 dwt. The lode was badly faulted and the lease abandoned. Shaft 70 feet depth.

The Little Gladys was owned by Nolan and Willis (surnames) about 2 kilometres south of the Brilliant. The shaft in 1909 was down to 30 feet.

The Hidden Secret North mine was owned in part by Albert Sampey, one of the pioneer prospectors on the field. There was a syndicate of 10 men from the region. The miners across the field would transport their ore to the Sons of Erin battery at Higginsville. In 1909 the Hidden Secret North mine erected a battery, but it was largely too late as the field died out soon after. There were several other minor shows on the field from 1906 to 1910.

The Eundynie name for the field was agreed to around a prospector's camp fire one night. It is indigenous for 'plenty of good things', or at least that is what the local aboriginal tribe told them at the time.
