Located 10 kilometres south of Coolgardie, about 200 metres west of the Londonderry Road, the mine is half-way between Burbanks and the Londonderry Feldspar quarry.
Discovered by John Reid in 1934. Hornblende schist with quartz stringers containing gold. Two prospecting shafts, a 10 foot long x 3 foot wide x 8 foot deep pit, and 40 feet to the east a costean had been dug. It was discovered under a Western Mining Corporation concession, who had first right of option. The following year there was a small period of intense crushings of several hundred tonnes at the Coolgardie state battery by the Western Mining Corporation.
