Several sources name the site Albatross-Flamingo, indicating the two pits are next to each other, or otherwise very close. Both were discovered from drilling in 1992. The site was rehabilitated in 2004, and 2010 pictures showed ripped vegetated haul roads, and earth encased vegetated tailings heaps.
