Area 4 Underground
A small pit, with an underground decline at its base, a few hundred metres east of the main Plutonic gold mine pit. In between is the processing plant and settling ponds. The accommodation village is north of the Plutonic pit, and airstrip to its west.
In 2005, it was stated, the Plutonic East mine had probable reserves of 360,000 tonnes of ore at 6.5 g/t yielding 75,600 ounces of gold. An indicative resource of 564,000 tonnes at 5.2 g/t yielding 94,800 ounces. Also an inferred resource of just over 3 million tonnes of ore at 5.3 g/t yielding 521,600 ounces of gold.
