The Coronation gold mine was adjacent to the Beverley mine and is thought to now be part of the Beverly pit. GML 1162N (part of 978N). Initially a 20 foot leader was discovered with good gold values. After this was extracted the lease went through several owners, who conducted little mining.
The mine was soft greenish schist similar to that found at Paddy's Flat. There were three shear planes striking east to west. These were older than the quartz blow, which continues underground as several small veins under 1 foot wide, and parallel to each other. The quartz is vughy, white or bluish.
