Quartz-feldspar pegmatite dykes near the contact with the Candoglia marble lenses within the kinzigites of the Ivrea-Verbano Zone.

The main pegmatite outcrop is located the incision of Vallorba stream, above the private road which leads to the Candoglia quarries. In 1915 the pegmatite dyke was mined for mica.
From another pegmatite body, located to the south-east of the previous one, beryl and vivianite have been rarely found.
