The Titan Gold Mine is an open pit in the Galaxy area of the western Boogardie Goldfield. The Saturn open pit is to its east, Mars open pit to the north, and the small Reno pit to the west. No historic information could be found, and is thought to be a modern development, from open pit mining in the 1980's. In July 2010, Ramelius Resources purchased the Mount Magnet gold leases from Harmony Gold. They began mining in 2011, at the existing Saturn and Mars pits. The company has plans to extend mining to Titan, as cut backs into the existing pit walls. (2015). In 2012, the company estimated the resource at Titan to be 800 tonnes, at 1.3 Au g/t yielding 37 000 oz Au.
