Köppen climate type:
A populated place located 27 km southwest of Segovia.
In the 1960s, Belgian collector Georges Vanacker (from Bruges) collected palygorskite ("mountain leather") specimens "in situ" and/or bought them from the locals.
Since then, however, the locality has been turned into a golf course with an adjacent resort.
Attempts have been made to contact the resort management to find out more about the former locality, but to no avail.
Obviously, all mineral prospecting/collecting is now strictly prohibited on the property. [personal communication between Vik Vanrusselt and Rik Dillen]
