A former coal prospect located 1 km E of the Herdern coal mine at approx. N47.60272 E8.92077, elevation 452 m.

Some prospecting was done in the years around 1857 and 1899 searching for a continuation of the Herdern coal seam but no coal was found, just bituminous marl. J. Bürgi in 1857 claims to have found coal (uncertain about the amount); E. Letsch in 1899 found no coal.
