Cruson (1991) gives the only known reference to this obscure locality:
In April of 1921, a veteran of the mine/quarry business named Captain Charles Cook from New Milford, leased the mineral rights of the FA Young farm in Taunton, on the corner of Castle Hill and Great Hill Roads. Here there were several large veins of pegmatite which ran from the northeast to south west across the farm and Cook appears to have worked these veins intensively for several months....
Within a year of opening this last quarry, Cook had exhausted the sites here to his satisfaction and had apparently moved on. Feldspar quarrying had not died out completely, however. In September 1924, William B Warner of Newbury, NY, had again leased the mineral rights to the Young farm. He opened up a new ledge of pegmatite Cook had overlooked, and struck an unusually fine grade of feldspar. He christened his quarry the Grace Feldspar Mine and at the time there was estimated to be a sufficient quantity of high grade rock to last from five to twelve years. It is uncertain how long this operation was carried on, but Warner was in town for at least another year...
