Septarian arenaceous concretions in the Pliocene sedimentary sequence of "Sabbie di Asti Formation" (Tertiary Piedmont Basin), which crops out ESE of San Biagio churchlet, on the eastern side of the Castelnuovo Belbo cemetery.
The honey-yellow scalenohedral crystals of calcite from this locality show a vivid yellow fluorescence and phosphorescence (Piccoli et al., 2007).
