Situated in the locality of Lake Harris, gold was first noted here by the Government Geologist in 1894, after he had inspected the region late in 1893.

In 1904 a five-stamp battery had been built on the shore of Lake Harris, worked by a 14 horse-power engine, with a vertical boiler.

Located on the former small Glenloth Goldfield.
