The Tatham mine is situated approximately a mile and a half northeast from the Parks mine and close to a road that branches to the north from the Washington-Augusta public road near Raysville.
Considerable underground mining has been conducted 4ere in the past, but no work of any importance has been inJprogress for about fifteen years. The principal shaft, known as the Tatham shaft, has caved at the surface and no exposures of the vein were noticed. It is reported that some very rich ore was secured when the mine was in operation. A mill, equipped with ten stamps and a Wilfl(ly concentrating table, is located near the shaft. The property is owned by the Tatham estate of Philadelphia, Penn.
