Well No. 3 at Momin Akhada (मोमिन अखाड़ा - pronunciation: mow-mean ack-haad-aa) near Rahuri was discovered by a chance bore drilling activity whilst looking for water deposits. The well is approximately 100 meters from the original Well No. 1 which yielded the famous flat terminated green apophyllite in 2001. This well is approximately 50 meters from Well No. 2 which was found in 2004. All 3 cavities were worked upon by father and son duo of M.F. Makki and Sami Makki of Matrix India, Pune, India.
