To reach the valley you have to get to Santa Croce, cross the river and park near the Romanesque church of San Martino (500 m). You go back to the bridge to take the road that leads to " Crotti " until you reach the gorge Aurosina. Follow the trail to the bottom of the gorge up to Tabiadascio to 1245 m. At Tabiadascio you exit the woods following the trail B15, about 1500 m altitude begin the switchbacks that lead to Garzonedo (1940 m) where the CAI of Chiavenna is building a bivouac. From the bivouac you go up a few yards up the pitch for the helicopter from which you can see the paint marks that mark the crossing to the nozzle of Val Scilano (2190 m). From here we descend into the basin up to about 1900 m and then back into the woods and continue up towards west until you reach just below the Grillo Lake, the path that goes from Uschione. This path must be followed for the descent.
