A former lode Au mine located in sec. 16, T3S, R17E, MDM, 2.4 km (7,800 feet) ENE of Buckhorn Peak, along Indian Gulch (near the Quail Mine), on unpatented land. May be related to the Juniper Mine located in secs. 19 & 30, T4S, R17E. MRDS accuracy for this locality is not stated.

Mineralization is a vein deposit with a vein 1 to 4 feet thick, hosted in slate. The ore body strikes NW and dips 40NE at a thickness of 1.22 meters. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include surface and underground openings with a total length of 45.72 meters and an overall depth of 27.43 meters and comprised of a 90 foot incline, a 150 foot open cut, and 60 feet of tunnels.
