In 1960 the work started to make a new main shaft for the Giken-Charlotta mine. The shaft which started into the Main adit got the name Kjell Lund shaft after the CEO on the head office. In 1964 the shaft was ready to use. The shaft went down to the level -300 and could transport ore from -233. Later the shaft where further extended.
