Teresa mine part of the "Coto Palomera" was exploited along the the first half of the twentieth century, having its maximum importance during the years 1917 and 1922, taking advantage of the high price of manganese during and after the First World War. The mine was also worked between 1936-1939.
The deposit consists of manganese oxides masses (karstic cavities filled) lying between Triassic limestones and marls of the Keuper.
Various buildings are preserved and a beautiful headframe.
