A former Sb-Hg-Ag-Au occurrence/mine located in the center sec. 31, T11S, R7E, MDM, 1.1 km (0.7 mile; 3,600 feet) WNW of Antimony Peak (coordinates of record). Started before 1890. Reopened and closed again in 1960 for specimen mining (Cureton). Owned by R. B. Knox. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a Sb-Hg vein deposit hosted in Pliocene basalt. The ore body is podiform in shape. Controls for ore emplacement include a shear zone. Local rocks include Tertiary volcanic flow rocks, unit 1 (Quien Sabe-Burdell Mountain).
Local structures include localized fractures.
Workings include underground openings with an overall length of 365.76 meters and comprised of 2 adits with a combined length of 400 meters.
Production data are found in: Holmes (1965).
