Gold active until until 1961, and during that period operated by Raub Australian Gold Mine (RAGM).
In around 2010, the company Peninsular Gold has restarted gold production at the Raub mine. Initially, gold is recovered from the tailings dumps from the old mine, but the company intends to mine fresh ore in 2011.
