Cenozoic basalt province with an outcrop area of about 1700 km2, consisting of intercalated alkaline, transitional and tholeiitic basalts. The Zhangbei County part of the Hannuoba field consists of 21 lava flows composed of alkaline and tholeiitic basalts. The alkaline basalts contain abundant mantle xenoliths.
