NOTE: Laws is commonly cited as the location of the Champion Mine (Jeffrey Mine; Vulcanus Mine), a famous andalusite occurrence. In fact, the mine is about 22 km N in neighboring Mono County. In Mindat it is stated to be near White Mountain Peak, White Mountains.
