The locality named Gamlegrendåsen refers to at least two different finds:

1. A small outcrop close to a small lake at Gamlegrendåsen was found by Sigurd Stordal. A minor find of harmotome was done (Sigurd Stordal information).

2. In 2015-2016, a cavity, 30 x 25 x 20 cm large, with brewsterite-Ba and harmotome, was found by the Norwegian collector Henrik Sundland. The cavity occurred in a hydrothermal quartz vein in gneiss (Larsen 2017, Nordrum & Sundland 2017).

Both finds are connected to the construction of a new residential site at Gamlegrendåsen. The coordinates are generic for the residential site.

A third find of zeolites in the same area, at Hans Brattebergs vei, is discussed in Larsen & Sundland (2015).
