A small old lead mine, worked for some time around 1860. Stoping in the adit, the portal of which is located on Towan Beach suggests that the mine worked a NS-trending lode. The workings are now completely built over. The grid reference marks the site of a shaft, which has been used as a water supply for some time after 1906.
