Abandoned quarry in granite with hornfels inclusions and disseminated by aplite veins.

Located on Königskopf mountain near Oderbrück, about 4.5 km NW of Braunlage.

Since the quarry is located within the Harz National Park, access is only allowed with permission from and when accompanied by National Park personnel. Removing any geological or biological materials from the quarry is strictly prohibited.
