A W-Mo occurrence(s) in the vicinity of the divide between Slick Rock Creek on the E and Cedar Creek on the W, about 2.8 km (1.8 miles) NW of Alta Sierra, on National Forest land.
NOTE: Murdoch presents this locality as a single occurrence in the "Cedar Creek area." The USGS MRDS database presents it as a district; however, it is within the area covered by the Greenhorn District. Perhaps it can be considered a sub-district.
Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
